2.5 weeks with family is officially 14 days too long. I’m back. In my tiny house, in my tiny adopted country which makes me a happy little foreigner. I could, however, do without EBO’s jet lag. She’s turned into an late night party girl

British Airways, how I loathe thee. Stupid us for spending a bit more to fly with BA since they seemed more child friendly. They are, indeed, child friendly – especially if you take out the delayed, missed and cancelled flights as well as the missing luggage. The gate staff at Glasgow Airport with one slight exception were friendly, the flight attendants on all flights were great but the staff at BWI airport, good god were they thick. No piss-ups in breweries happening with them in charge. Heathrow was actually the only part of the whole fiasco that went quite smoothly, including the evil Terminal 5.

At any rate, we spent far too much of our ‘Murican dough. In the beginning, it was clothes just to get through the first couple of luggage-less days. I’m carrying this thing around with me everywhere. The ability to check email and sites from any place you chose on a teeny tiny sleek gadget could be considered by some as a step too far; for full-fledged dork muffins such as myself, the iPod Touch is a gift from the drooling gods.

More to come soon. Once the fog clears from my brain…
